    There's another one called Mixcloud that I wouldn't mind checking out too. Wanna see how it differs from Soundcloud.

    mixcloud is primarily focused on radio shows, podcasts and DJ mixes, not individual tracks and also doesn't currently feature a download option..

    Seems like Last FM is doing well. I had no idea many people used that place as a social network. I didn't even know it was one as such. Soundcloud isn't doing too badly either. Youtube and Facebook are obvious candidates for the hot spots, while Myspace and certainly Acid Planet are drying up.

    There was a time when most of our regulars came from Acid Planet.

    Ive just had a quick look at letsmix.com. Looks quite good from what I can see, both design wise and what it does for people. I also noticed that they have just recently introduced a premium account, so they are thinking along the right lines. A site to keep in mind anyway me thinks (for ideas).

    Seen many similar sites that have ended up going down but as they are launching a premium service it could be OK.
